FAQ

Common questions

Can I move from TenantCloud to LandlordOS?+

Yes. LandlordOS imports a portfolio from a spreadsheet, so you can export properties, units, tenants and leases from TenantCloud and bring them in. Open balances and history are set up as you go.

Does LandlordOS do tenant screening like TenantCloud?+

No. LandlordOS takes rental applications with a checklist and the rent-to-income multiple, but doesn’t run credit, background or eviction checks today. Use a screening service alongside it.

Why does LandlordOS charge the landlord for rent payments?+

LandlordOS keeps rent simple for tenants: they pay exactly the rent by bank transfer, and the landlord pays Stripe’s ACH cost (0.8%, capped at $5) plus a flat LandlordOS fee of $1.00–$2.00 per payment.

Does LandlordOS take card payments?+

No. LandlordOS collects rent by ACH bank transfer, and you can record cash, checks and Zelle by hand.
