PraxiOS

Where PraxiOS is stronger

  • Month-to-month billing on every plan, with no multi-year commitment. Pay annually and you get 12 months for the price of 10.
  • Flat per-firm pricing: up to 5 users for $299/mo, up to 15 for $699/mo. Adding a person inside your plan doesn't change the bill.
  • Every feature is on every plan, with unlimited clients.
  • Clients don't create an account or install anything. You send a link that expires in 1–30 days, can be single-use, and can be rotated or revoked.
  • Uploads are read with OCR, classified by document type and linked to the matching checklist item automatically.
TaxDome

Where TaxDome is stronger

  • A much broader client experience: secure chat, branded client mobile apps, and unlimited e-signatures. PraxiOS offers simple portal messages but no chat, apps or e-sign.
  • Proposals and engagement letters with service options, linked to invoices.
  • Built-in payment processing, recurring invoices, and pipeline automations that can create invoices and move jobs.
  • Email sync with Gmail and Outlook, plus integrations such as QuickBooks Online.
  • Flexible seat options, such as monthly seats on Pro and seasonal seats on Business, and a lower per-seat price for solo practitioners.

Who should choose which

Choose PraxiOS if

You want a lighter tool without a long commitment.

You're a 2–50 person firm that wants a work board, a portal that sorts uploads, and invoicing, at one flat price you can pay monthly. You don't need e-sign, a chat app or payment processing today.

You want the full client experience in one platform.

You need e-signatures, proposals, client chat, branded mobile apps and built-in payments, or you're a solo practitioner, and you're comfortable paying per seat annually upfront.

What would a 5- or 12-person firm pay?

Published list prices only, per year, before taxes. TaxDome's Essentials plan doesn't support multiple users, according to its help center, so we compare Pro and Business. Payment-processing fees aren't included.

FAQ

Common questions

Can I move from TaxDome to PraxiOS?+

Yes. PraxiOS imports your client list from a TaxDome CSV export, with the column mapping built in, and work in progress is set up by hand. The Enterprise plan includes help importing your client list, and the Professional plan includes a live onboarding session. On Starter, setup is self-serve with email support. If you're on a multi-year TaxDome term, check its renewal date before you switch.

Do my clients need an app or a login?+

No. Each client gets a secure link that you set to expire in 1 to 30 days, optionally single-use. It opens in any browser, including on a phone. PraxiOS has no native client app.

Can clients sign, chat or pay in PraxiOS?+

Partly. Clients can send your firm a message from the PraxiOS portal, and staff replies are emailed to them, but there's no chat app. PraxiOS has no e-signatures, and it doesn't process payments; you record payments received elsewhere. TaxDome covers all three.

Do I have to commit for a year?+

No. Every PraxiOS plan can be paid monthly. Annual billing is optional, paid upfront, and costs the same as 10 months.
